Dear Reader,
For my 16-week WISE project I want to learn how to fly fish. I have been fishing my whole life, my grandpa taught me how to fish when we lived in Puerto Rico. I know tons about saltwater fishing but fly fishing is a totally new chapter in my fishing career. I have no history at all with fly fishing.... I will say my motive came from my love for being outdoors and trying new things. Some of my project goals are to learn all styles of fly fishing(Nymphing, Dry Fly Fishing, Streamer Fishing), learn all fly fishing casts(Roll Cast, False Cast, Curve Cast, Reach Cast, Shoot- Line Cast and Standard Cast), learn how to tie my own flies, and learn 10 new fishing knots. I would say my hopes for this project is to find another form of Stress Relief and Getting out of my comfort zone. Having a nine class schedule my senior year really has built a lot of stress up. Also, I want to be able to talk to people eloquently and clear to then help me with my final presentation and for the future.
